OrqueIO at BIGTECH Africa 2026, October 13–14 at the Cité de la Culture in Tunis: operational performance through process orchestration

What if business processes could become easier to manage, more fluid and more efficient?

On October 13 and 14, 2026, OrqueIO took part in BIGTECH Africa 2026 at the Cité de la Culture in Tunis, Tunisia. Over these two days, our team discussed with companies and IT teams how process orchestration helps organizations connect their systems, automate workflows and gain better visibility across their operations.

BIGTECH Africa 2026 in Tunis

For its third edition, BIGTECH Africa brought together technology companies, decision-makers, innovators and professionals around the major challenges of digital transformation in Africa: modernizing and integrating information systems, automation and operational efficiency.

In environments where companies combine more and more applications, services and data flows, the ability to coordinate operations becomes a central performance challenge. This is precisely where process orchestration plays a key role.

Why operational performance depends on orchestration

As organizations grow, individual tasks may already be automated, while the overall process remains fragmented. This often leads to:

  • limited end-to-end visibility,
  • manual coordination between teams,
  • disconnected applications,
  • and difficulties monitoring what happens across the full workflow.

Orchestration addresses this problem: rather than automating isolated tasks, it coordinates the entire process from one step to the next, within coherent, observable and manageable workflows.

OrqueIO: an orchestration layer for your existing systems

OrqueIO is an open-source process orchestration and automation platform. In practice, it lets organizations:

  • model business processes with BPMN;
  • coordinate the applications, services and teams involved;
  • monitor process execution from end to end;
  • integrate with existing systems, without replacing them.

For operations and IT teams alike, this translates into concrete benefits:

Observability

Follow the status of every process in real time from Cockpit and see immediately where an execution is stuck.

Control

Suspend, resume, fix or retry instances, and stay in charge of how your processes run.

Reliability

Errors are handled as incidents, with configurable retries, so failures never go unnoticed.

Traceability

Execution history shows what happened, at which step and why.

BPMN: a shared language between business and IT

BPMN provides a shared visual language between business and IT teams. Business teams understand how the process works, while IT teams connect each step to the relevant applications, APIs and services.

  • visualize the process;
  • identify bottlenecks;
  • evolve workflows more easily.

Let’s keep the conversation going

Thank you to everyone who came to meet us at BIGTECH Africa 2026. Whether we met in Tunis or not, our team is available to discuss your process, automation and operational transformation challenges.
